How Long Will It Take to Sell Your San Diego County Home?
As of December 2014, the average home in San Diego county was on the market for 1.5 to 3 months before going into escrow with a buyer.
Below are the average marketing times in San Diego County for select areas over the last 12 months. A fast home sale would be less than these averages.
- Carlsbad: 42 days
- Coronado: 79 days
- Imperial Beach: 53 days
- Mission Hills: 44 days
- National City: 51 days
- San Ysidro: 62 days

On average, when the price of a home within a zip code increased, so did its average time on market.
For example, $3 million homes in Coronado were on the market for an average of 3.5 months, while $4 million homes averaged 4.5 months on the market. This is to be expected, as the pool of available buyers shrinks as prices rise.
