What is Fizber?

Fizber is a nationwide flat-fee MLS company and For Sale by Owner (FSBO) service. It offers free listing on its own website and connects sellers with a local real estate professional to list their homes elsewhere.

Fizber also has a variety of tools to create and manage property listings and assist with closing, like a free home evaluation. Its packages are overall competitively priced and could be a good FSBO option.

Is Fizber legit?

Fizber is a legitimate company with positive reviews overall. Many reviewers were thrilled with the customer service and the speed at which their homes sold after listing with Fizber.

The company does have a very low Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating, which is not a great sign. But we reviewed the complaints, and it doesn’t seem like the reviewers were actually Fizber customers. So the reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.

There were a few concerning reviews about Fizber not having accurate information on listings. Some reviewers mentioned issues with uploading photos. And some expressed frustration with the number of sales calls they received after providing their contact information.

Getting your listing on the MLS

An MLS, or multiple listing service, is a database of local homes for sale. Real estate professionals and big housing sites like Zillow and Realtor.com use an MLS to find available homes in the area. If your home isn’t on the MLS, it probably won’t get the visibility you need to get the best offer.

To list your home on your local MLS with Fizber, you’ll need to sign up for one of its two most expensive packages — MLS Boost and Premium MLS Boost. Fizber’s lowest-tier packages, Free Listing and Digital Boost, will not get your home on the local MLS.

The MLS Boost package will list your home on the local MLS for six months. That’s typically plenty of time to sell your home. The biggest drawback is that the package only includes six photos on the listing. We recommend paying the extra $25 to upgrade to the Premium MLS Boost package and get the maximum amount of photos.

The Premium MLS Boost package is the most expensive of Fizber’s four packages. It includes:

  • Listing on the MLS, Zillow, and other sites
  • The maximum allowable photos
  • Unlimited listing changes
  • An online-showing scheduler
  • Open house ads

Closing assistance

Fizber offers closing support that includes useful tips, closing checklists, and other resources. The company has a network of industry professionals who can assist you with closing. But we couldn’t find much about what this support includes or there’s an extra fee.

If you’re set on FSBO, Fizber’s pricing is decent. The $295 premium package will get your home maximum exposure for about an average price for a FSBO company.

Fizber is available nationwide, but there’s a “success fee” in four states: Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. If you live in one of these states, you’ll have an additional 0.5% fee during closing.

The company has packages for a variety of budgets. But Fizber’s Free Listing and Digital Boost packages have very limited offerings and won’t get your home on the MLS. We recommend considering the highest-tiered packages, priced at $270 and $395, to receive the most value.

  • Unlimited free listing changes
  • Active listings until you cancel or close on your home

We noted add-on services that actually help you sell and manage your sale, like professional photography or an online dashboard. We didn’t give credit for fluffy offerings, such as video tours that are just photo montages or listings on Craigslist.
